Classes

Hit the books and dig into Scripture with a variety of classes, studies, and workshops to help you grow closer to God and others.

  • Bob Cook's class will be doing a verse-by-verse study of 1 Peter. 1 Peter is loaded with practical and challenging wisdom for daily living. Peter gives his readers godly insight into literally every facet of our lives. No need to register...just show up. Grab a coffee at the Global Cafe and head to the Oasis Room @ 9 am.

  • Who is the Holy Spirit? How does he change our lives? How does he work in the world? Over the next 10 weeks we will be examining these and other critical questions. The Spirit of God is eager to work in your life and draw you to closer to God. Come and meet the Spirit.

All women are invited to attend @ 10:30 am in the Oasis Room!

  • 7th-12th graders are invited to join us in the Student Center @ 9 am for study. Then, we worship together @ 10:30 in the Worship Center.

  • Get the new year started off RIGHT!

If you've ever felt like you just can't get in control of your money, you're not alone. You'd be surprised how many people you know are struggling just like you. But it's time for your struggle to end.

Join us for Financial Peace University class at Discover Christian Church starting on January 5 @ 10:30 am, and learn how you can pay off debt, save more money, and build wealth.

    Visit fpu.com/F62619 to sign up!

  • The Monday Night Women’s Group will resume on January 6 @ 7 pm in the Oasis Room with a study of Lyrics of Life on Rightnow Media (no books required). All are welcome to join at any time!

  • Jesus gave every Christian a mission: go and make disciples. For many, the desire is there but the "how" is missing. Disciple making isn't a curriculum or a 5-step process....It's a mindset and a lifestyle.

Jim Brechbuhler will lead this 7-week "nuts and bolts" class filled with practical, applicable teaching. All are welcome to join us in the Student Center @ 10:30 am, January 12 through February 23.

  • Have you ever felt like you were on a treadmill, running furiously to keep up?  Or, in religious terms, trying harder to be good enough to earn God’s favor?  Well, the good news is that we don’t have to earn God’s favor!  In fact, we can’t!  But Jesus paid the price for our sins, and all we have to do is accept the free gift of His grace and live in that freedom.

That’s what the message of Paul’s letter to the Christians in Galatia is all about.  Grace is free to us, because Jesus paid the price for our sins.  In an eight week lesson series on the book of Galatians, George Fisher will explore Paul’s message to the Galatians to help us experience freedom in Christ.

This class will start on January 19, in the second hour (10:30 am), and meet in The Commons.

  • There will be no classes:  Sunday, December  29 |  Sunday, January 5 |  Tuesday, December  24 | Tuesday, December 31

Join us for free ESL classes on Sundays @ 2-3:30 pm in the Oasis Room (Enter at Door D to the left of the portico when you're looking at the building).

and Tuesdays @ 10 am in The Commons (Enter Door H near the big mailbox on the Martin Road side of the building).
